Get your orange ready! The fourth-annual Color The World Orange on November 6 is almost here.

Color The World Orange is an annual event held the first Monday of November to spread awareness of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). On November 6th, supporters around the world will wear orange and host events to spread awareness of CRPS/RSD and almost 100 buildings, bridges and landmarks will be lit orange to bring attention to this debilitating condition.

The easiest way to get involved is to wear orange and post a picture to social media with the hashtag: #CRPSORANGEDAY. Ask friends, family, support groups and medical teams to wear orange as well to make the biggest impact.

There are a number of additional ways to participate and we encourage the CRPS/RSD community to be creative and have fun! Here are a few suggestions:

That night, look to the sky to see almost 100 buildings, bridges and landmarks lit orange in five countries including Niagara Falls and the fountains in Trafalgar Square in London. The full list of lightings can be found on our website: www.colortheworldorange.com

In addition, almost 50 politicians in the US and Canada have granted proclamations recognizing November 6, 2017 as Color The World Orange Day or November 2017 as CRPS/RSD Awareness Month.

In the past three years, the event has raised more than $20,765 for the US non-profit RSDSA for research.

Color The World Orange was started in 2014 to bring global attention to a disorder that, unfortunately, too few people understand. The event seeks to bring all those affected together for one common goal—awareness of CRPS/RSD! We truly believe that if we stick together, our voices will be heard.

So get your orange ready and let’s make Color The World Orange 2017 the biggest yet! And don’t forget to post all of that orange to social media with the hashtag: #CRPSORANGEDAY.

Let’s show the world that while we are in pain, we are strong!
